Moves
A move is a person joining, leaving or changing role at an organisation.
Move types
Every move has one of these types: Hire, Appointment, Promotion, Departure, Retirement, Other.
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
Hire | Someone joining an organisation from outside |
Appointment | A named appointment to a role or a board seat |
Promotion | A move up within the same organisation |
Departure | Someone leaving, with no matching arrival recorded |
Retirement | A departure announced as a retirement |
Other | A move that fits none of the above |
Compensation
Where a move comes with a compensation package, each component is typed: BaseSalary, Bonus, SignOn, Retention, Equity, Other. You can filter moves by compensation type, for example every move with a SignOn award.
Similar moves
For any move, get_similar_moves counts comparable moves over the same week, month, quarter or year. Use it to tell an isolated exit from part of a pattern.
