People
A profile is one person: who they are, where they've worked, and what they hold.
Profile types
Every profile carries one of three types. You can filter searches by type.
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
business_owner | A director, officer or owner of an organisation |
investment_advisor | An individual registered as an investment adviser |
broker | An individual registered as a broker |
Work history
A profile's work history lists each organisation and role, with start and end dates where known. The entry with no end date is the current role. The same history drives get_company_people, which is why a company's people list includes alumni unless you ask for current staff only.
Ownership and statements
Ownership lists the stakes a person holds in organisations, as a separate call. Statements are the annotated passages on source articles: what the person said, and what others said about them. See statements.
